"Juneteenth is a landmark in history, a celebration of freedom and the end of slavery in America. Juneteenth Jazz is dedicated to the preservation of the unique aesthetic expression of freedom through jazz, and the spiritual essence of a people whose lives continue to be the creative catalyst of all America's music. Juneteenth Jazz is dedicated to the innovators of this great music and the economic, cultural and educational development of the historic community that produced America's most intellectually sophisticated musical expression of freedom for all the world to enjoy." The preservation of America's jazz legacy through the presentation of African-American classical music, commonly called "jazz", during the month of June, Black Music Month, in association with the celebration of Juneteenth in America.
To organize, publicize and support Juneteenth Jazz Events during Black Music Month throughout the country.

founding board members of the National Association of Juneteenth Jazz Presenters (NAJJP) actively involved in the annual presentation of Juneteenth Jazz festivals and events. Rev., Dr. Myers is the Founder & Chairman of the National Juneteenth Holiday Campaign, the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation (NJOF) and the National Juneteenth Christian Leadership Council (NJCLC). John Thompson is the Founder & President of Juneteenth America, Inc. (JAI). Dr. Myers is also the National Juneteenth Jazz Artist performing in Juneteenth Jazz festivals and concerts across the nation.
Curtis Faulkner is a founding board member of the NAJJP not currently involved in the activities of the organization or the annual presentation of Juneteenth Jazz festivals or events. Curtis Faulkner is the Founder & President of the Juneteenth Jazz & Heritage Festival (JHJF).
